Nasser Al Sheikh, director-general of Dubai Department of Finance, said Islamic home finance firms Amlak and Tamweel will start lending again within weeks as separate entities before moving forward with a likely merger. "As far as I know, their intention is to reactivate the two companies and then work on the merger," Al Sheikh told Emirates Business.
