Fujairah-Dubai
Bus Service Launched

FUJAIRAH — Those looking forward to a quick getaway to Fujairah
from Dubai have now the option of using the dedicated bus service launched last week by Brigadier Mohamad
Ahmed bin Ghanim, Chairman of the board of directors of the Fujairah
Transport, a project realised in
collaboration with the Dubai Transport Corporation.

The service, which is now up and
running, has a fleet of buses plying
regularly between the two emirates and aims at providing a reliable and easy mode
of transport.

Abdullah Yousof Al Ali, Director of the Buses Division of Dubai Transport Corporation, Khalid Al Jasim, a
member of the board of the Fujairah Transport, and Khalifa Ahmed Al Hafeiti, Director General of the Fujairah Transport
Corporation, were present at the inauguration ceremony, apart from a number of administrative staffers.

"This facility is a sterling addition to the tasks entrusted by the Fujairah Transport which aims to streamline and enhance the transport sector in the emirate," Brigadier Bin Ghanim affirmed, adding that the launch of such a facility is the commencement of a project to link up the main cities of
the country.

It is also deemed as a way to attract more tourists to Fujairah, he clarified.

Al Ali informed that the 10 buses comprising the fleet are equipped with up-to-date safety, security facilities, plush seats, toilets and video screens.

The bus from Fujairah to Dubai starts at 6:30 am and the last bus leaves
Fujairah at 9:45 pm. A one-way journey costs Dh25.
