Developer pulls out of Cityscape

Global master developer Limitless has said its decision to not attend Cityscape 2009 was due to the global economic situation.

The company, part of Dubai World, announced its non-attendance on Thursday, at the same time as Nakheel and Emaar said they too would not host displays at the real estate showcase.

As previously reported in Emirates Business, Nakheel said it would be prudent to concentrate on property handovers than attend Cityscape. Emaar said it would consider attending next year, depending on its "objectives, strategies and announcements".

Rebecca Rees, Limitless spokesman, said: "While Limitless will not be exhibiting at Cityscape Dubai 2009, we continue to support the event and will participate in the Green Day conference on October 7, where we will share our thoughts on environmental sustainability.

"The decision also applies to other exhibitions at which we have previously been present."
